Introducing the world of Anthropologie to the German audience

The innovative American retail chain known for its unique blend of women´s clothes, accessories and home décor wants to find its way into the central European market and thus launches anthropologie.de, the company’s first non-English online shop.

We created a unique press event in partnership with Berlin’s baking queen Cynthia Barcomi, resulting in extensive online and offline media buzz and a dramatic improvement in brand recognition for Anthropologie within the German market.

Having started her Blog in New York city writing about her style musings and her science fiction love for Galactic Battle Stars and robotics, Chantal from the blog Cocorosa surely likes to indulge herself in a dreamy world of silky pastels, tutu’s, glitters and bows but this urban fairy is not afraid to pair the pretty with the rough. Globe trotting ever since, going back and forth between her native Holland and New York this smiling creature wants to be free as a galactic bird. 

How long have you been blogging?

I have been blogging since April 2009, so about 2.5 years.

What first inspired you to create a blog?

I really liked the idea of having a platform to showcase my daily inspiration and outfits.

Is blogging your passion, profession or both?

I would say both; right now I’m full-time blogging and it’s kind of related to my profession (fashion designer and trend forecaster).

How has blogging changed your relationship to fashion?

Not very much actually, maybe because I was already working in Fashion when I started the blog. But the blog has been giving me amazing opportunities.

How did you choose the name of your blog?

haha Ohh very random haha, I named the blog cocorosa like my chictopia account and that was very random as well :)

What message do you hope to send to your readers?

To be creative.

What makes a successful post? A successful blog?

hmmm for me it is beautiful photos and original/creative content but maybe even more successful would be to showcase the current trends and popular items, although I try not to do that..

Where do you hope your fashion career will lead?

I hope I can stay independent, blogging and designing.

For you, what is the world’s most fashionable city?

I would guess London?

How would you describe fashion in the city where you live?

haha okay, right now I’m in a very small city so it’s not very fashion forward where I am now haha

Where do you turn for inspiration?

On blogs and magazines and Indie Movies.

Whose personal style do you admire most?

I really like the Stylorectic and Love-Aesthetics.

What other blogs do you read on a regular basis?

The above two and many many more like le blog de betty and le blog de sushi.

Where do you find ideas for your blog posts?

I just go for what I feel that day :)

What was your last purchase?

A gray H&M hat.

Most memorable comment from a reader?

Oh I love all my comments it’s so hard to pick out the most memorable one, I like the comments the most which make me roll over laughing :)

Do you prefer online or store shopping?

I kind of like store shopping the most because I like to feel the materials.

Current must-haves?

A Furla Candy bag :)

Favorite thing to do when not blogging?

To watch movies.

Favourite fashion magazine?

French Vogue lately.

What style, for you, is timeless?

A classic black sophisticated outfit.

We created a tailor-made media plan to promote Woolrich as well as the sub-brands Penrich and BD Baggies in Italy, aiming to achieve Woolrich´s targets through channels such as fashion and inspirational blogs. The creation of advertorials for publication on these blogs provided support for the campaign.

In the objective of creating content and increasing visibility and buzz during the Berlin?SS 2011 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, we organized a press event featuring influential fashion?bloggers. Bloggers were invited onto the catwalk, as well as being invited to interview the?designers. A backstage video of the fashion show was also created.

Providing content suggestions to leading Italian bloggers and members of mytheresa´s Italian affiliation program, we assured the publication of editorial content regarding specific trends, for example colour blocking, and their relationship with the mytheresa brand, creating content about mytheresa, increasing brand visibility and pushing performance in Italy, France and Spain.
